# Choose where a calendar appears

Give each connected Google account the workspaces where you want its meetings
to appear. A new connection starts in **All Workspaces**.

## Choose workspaces for an account

1. Open Settings (⌘,) › **Calendar**.
2. Find the account and open its **Workspaces** menu.
3. Select the workspaces you want, or choose **All Workspaces**.

The menu appears when you have more than one workspace. Each workspace can
show several accounts, and one account can appear in several workspaces.
Home then shows upcoming events from the accounts assigned to the active
workspace.

Clearing the last selected workspace returns the connection to **All
Workspaces**. Deleting its last assigned workspace has the same effect;
check this selection after [deleting a workspace](https://docs.recordstead.app/workspaces/delete-a-workspace).

## Where an automatic recording goes

When [Call Detection](https://docs.recordstead.app/recording/call-detection) starts a recording, a matching
calendar event can send it to the account's workspace even if another workspace
is active. This happens only when there is one matching event and every
connected account holding that event points to the same single workspace.

If the match is ambiguous, an account uses **All Workspaces**, or the accounts
point to different spaces, the recording stays in the active workspace.
A recording you start manually uses the workspace you chose.

The recording-start notification names the destination when you have multiple
workspaces. You can still [change the current recording's destination](https://docs.recordstead.app/workspaces/what-a-workspace-separates#send-the-call-you-are-on-somewhere-else)
from the menu-bar panel. Changing calendar assignments does not move recordings
that already exist.
