# Manage Macs on your license

Personal allows two Macs to have active processing access at once. You can
manage them in Recordstead, even if this Mac is no longer activated.

1. Open Settings › **License** and click **Manage Devices…**.
2. If this Mac has no active license, enter your key and click **Show Macs**.
   An active Mac opens the list directly.
3. In **Your Macs**, check which slots are used. Rename a Mac with its pencil
   button. If you need to activate this Mac and both slots are full, choose
   **Replace…** beside the other Mac and confirm.

**Replacing a Mac stops its paid processing after it next confirms its access.**
An existing offline authorization may last until its signed cutoff. Recordings
stay on that Mac. The sheet shows when a new-Mac allowance resets if the limit
has been reached; replacing devices can also be limited.

To free this Mac's slot before moving to another one, expand **License support**
and choose **Remove License from This Mac…**. Your recordings stay here, and
paid processing stops when removal is confirmed. Keep your key: you need it
to activate another Mac or recover access after a licensing reset.
