# Redeem your invitation

In an invited build, recording works before you enter a code. Transcripts,
speaker analysis and summaries wait for an invitation.

1. During setup, enter your **Invitation code** and click **Redeem Invitation
   Code**. Or open **Settings…** (⌘,) → **Invitation** and enter it there later.
2. Check the **Access** status in the same pane. If a request failed, use
   **Try Again** when it appears.

Your invitation gives you full processing for 30 days, starting with the first
successful transcript, not the day you redeem it. The pane shows the trial end
date and time. If the trial ends, you can still record, read and export meetings;
transcription, speaker analysis and summaries pause.

If you are offline after redeeming, Recordstead can wait up to 72 hours to
start the trial. The **Invitation** pane shows the current state; do not infer
access from the selected [processing level](https://docs.recordstead.app/processing/choose-processing-depth).
