# Search your meetings

Search looks in your **current workspace**, not across every workspace.
Switch first if the meeting you want belongs elsewhere.

1. Press ⌘K, or choose **Search Meetings…** from the menu.
2. Type a word or phrase. Choose **All** or narrow the search to **Titles**,
   **Summaries**, **Transcripts** or **Dictionary**.
3. Use the arrow keys and Return to open a result in the main window. Press
   ⌘Return to open a meeting in a separate window.

Results show matching excerpts. A Dictionary result opens the term rather than
a meeting. If a meeting has no transcript or summary yet, those fields cannot
match it; try its title or check whether [processing is waiting](https://docs.recordstead.app/processing/on-battery).
