# Change a meeting's summary template

You can try a different outline for a meeting whose summary has already been
written. This generates a new summary; changing the picker alone does not edit
the text you already have.

1. Open the meeting and find **Template** beside its Summary tab.
2. Choose another enabled template. The meeting says **Summary needs
   updating**.
3. Click **Update Summary** to write the summary again from the stored
   transcript with the chosen template.

**Your result:** the summary uses the template you selected. Trying another
