Delete a meeting, and what deletion removes
Deleting a meeting is immediate and permanent. There is no Trash and no undo, which is why Recordstead asks first and says exactly what it is about to remove.
Delete it
Section titled “Delete it”- Go to Meetings.
- Right-click the meeting, or open it and use its actions menu.
- Choose Delete Permanently.
- Read the confirmation and confirm.
The confirmation says:
The recording, transcript, and summary are removed from Recordstead and can't be recovered here. Exported files and your own backups aren't touched.
What goes
Section titled “What goes”The meeting itself, its recording, its transcript and its summary, together with everything Recordstead derived from them: its search entries, whatever Ask had indexed from it, any speaker question about it that you never answered, and what a saved voice had recorded about having spoken in it.
What survives
Section titled “What survives”Anything you exported, and anything in your own backups. Recordstead does not control those folders and does not reach into them.
What this promise is not
Section titled “What this promise is not”Removal from Recordstead is not secure erase. The database row is deleted and the app cannot recover it, but nothing claims the underlying disk blocks are overwritten.
If it will not delete
Section titled “If it will not delete”A meeting still being processed cannot be deleted. Wait for the job to finish, then try again.
Result
Section titled “Result”The meeting is gone from the list and cannot be brought back.
